Founder’s grandson appointed GM at Green Design Indoor Plant Hire
Green Design Indoor Plant Hire has announced the appointment of Josh Ursem as General Manager.
Mr Ursem who is the grandson of Founder Rudy Ursem joined the business in 2012 starting first as a plant technician.
He takes over from former General Manager, Ray Borg as part of a succession plan where Mr Borg has mentored him for the past three years.
Mr Borg now moves into an Associate Manager role responsible for Key Accounts and Strategy.
Meanwhile, Mr Ursem’s son Rod who joined his father in the early years of the business continues as Operations Manager, daughter, Tracie Atkins as Office Manager and Tracie's husband Craig as Technical Manager. Josh's brother Jarrod, a carpenter by trade also works in the business installing Green Walls Moss Walls.
Rudy Ursem and his wife Robyn acquired Green Design, a fledgling business at Kincumber in 1982 and with his family proceeded to grow the business subsequently buying a 2-hectare rural property at Somersby. He remains Managing Director.
From their first years the Ursems have had a strong commitment to innovation, their people and the delivery of quality services to their customers along with support for their suppliers. Currently Green Design employs over 40 people.
The customer base extends across the Sydney metro area and Central Coast and Hunter regions.
