Vice-Chancellor agrees to another five years

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Newcastle is to lead the institution for another five years, after agreeing to renew his contract until 2026.
Professor Alex Zelinsky, AO has been in the role since November 2018, leading the development of its ‘Looking Ahead’ Strategic Plan 2020-2025.

The NSW Planning Department has consented to the Development Application for a State Significant Development comprising four residential unit blocks at 89 John Whiteway Drive, Gosford.
The $198.3 million `resort style’ development on the former Gosford quarry site will comprise four buildings ranging in size from 6 to 12 storeys with 260 apartments and 400 space basement car park around a garden and pool setting and was designed by Gosford architects ADG Architects.

ASX company buys TreeTop Adventure Park Ourimbah

ASX listed adventure tourism company Experience Co Limited announced in September that it will acquire 14 high rope courses and zipline activities across Australia including the original TreeTop Adventure Park in the Ourimbah State Forest.

Central Coast Sports College eyeing expansion

Central College Sports College is presently working with Hunter Central Coast Development Corporation (HCCDC) and their consultant RZK Group on replacing the temporary buildings which were erected to accommodate an additional 100 students at the beginning of 2021.
